Intechra Facilities Receive ISO Certifications
Jackson, MS, Jan. 20, 2006 -- Information technology asset disposition company Intechra has received ISO 9001:2000 certification at its processing center in Carrollton near Dallas and ISO 14001 certification at its Phoenix facility.

Created by the International Organization for Standardization, ISO is an international quality standard recognized throughout the world. Earning ISO certification requires a company’s systems and processes to adhere to very rigorous metrics for consistently delivering products and services that meet customer requirements. ISO 9001:2000 covers total process control; ISO 14001 measures companies against environmental standards.

“For our customers, these certifications are another proof-point that Intechra is totally committed to the highest, objective quality standards. Our certified processes ensure that our clients’ retired technology assets will be disposed of properly,” said Lynn C. (Chip) Slack, CEO of Intechra. “ISO certifications give Intechra another competitive advantage, particularly in an emerging industry where many companies do not have quality processes in place.”

Intechra helps the Fortune 1000 and medium sized businesses retire IT assets such as personal computers, servers, networking equipment, UNIX systems, monitors and printers in compliance with federal privacy regulations, environmental laws and internal corporate security policies.

Intechra, the largest full-service information technology asset disposition company in the country, has three processing facilities across the United States. The firm’s Columbus, Ohio, and Dallas facilities are already ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified. The company will continue pursuing additional certifications at its Phoenix processing center, which opened in August of 2005.

Intechra has approximately 250 employees in its processing facilities and 10 sales offices around the country. With annual revenues of $40 million in a rapidly-growing industry, Intechra is the only IT asset disposition company with broad national geographic coverage.
